Single Through Loss - Catholic Networking

      The Center for Family Ministry
      of the Diocese of Joliet

There is no magic that soothes away the pain inflicted upon families due to the loss of a loved one through death or to divorce. However, there are helpful resources for the families who find themselved in this painful situation. To find out about support available throughout the diocese call The Center for Family Ministry at 815-838-5334 or www.dioceseofjoliet.org/familyministry

Self help groups are based on the premise that sharing thoughts, feelings and experiences with others who are experiencing a similar situation is one of the mosst helpful ways for participants to move beyond the pain and grow.

      Divorce and Beyond

Divorce and Beyond is a ten-week peer support group for those either in the process or recently divorced.  It explores the topics of grief, anger, lonliness, forgiveness and moving on after divorce.

God has two dwellings: one in heaven, and the other in a meek and thankful heart.
